What was your first reaction when you found out your book was being published?

After researching the massive project over a 57 year period I was overjoyed. I had accomplished my life's work nearing the age of 70.

Do you think reviews help sell books?

Absolutely! I have already been reviewed with positive reaction.

What kind of research did you do for your book.

I first read the complete King James Bible at the age of 12 and many times over and over throughout my younger years. In my later teen years I read volumes on Bible studies, history, archaeology, science, philosophy - including scores of modern versions of the New Testament. From 12 to 18 I read every important work in English literature - prose and poetry. Later in life I began the study of the Hebrew and Greek words of the Bible. At the age of 65 I began to gather notes and written materials on Biblical scholarship, including a new version of the Greek New Testament.

What has writing taught you?

I was first published at the age of 16, winning scholarships, and working for the local newspaper as something of a cub reporter. I was the editor of the high school paper and the annuals. I suppose writing as taught me stick-to-itness. 'One must take the first step in a thousand mile journey'.

What kinds of books do you enjoy reading?

Since I have read virtually everything in English literature other than the Bible and related works on religion I particular enjoy Hemingway. I used to speak to social groups and schools on his works as well as John Steinbeck and William Faulkner. I am currently reading "True At First Light" by Hemingway.

How do you write, free-thought, or from an outline?

On Biblical subjects the process is very precise requiring great patience. I have written and am in the process of publishing some fiction - four novels - and general I avoid any outline and write in a free-flowing manner. This is particularly true of a long free-flowing poem about my near-death experience, Across Infinity.

Where can we find your work and what are you working on now?

The first volume of the comprehensive work The Nazarene Commentary --- 21st Century Version of the Christian Scriptures - a new rendering of the New Testament with 12,000 footnotes (equivalent to ten books) - is presently available with my publisher "Living Waters" as well as the major internet book retailers. Volume 2 will be available sometime this month. To follow in the next 6 months are a commentary on Revelation, Nazarene Apocalypse --- The Jesus Prophecies, also a four volume work Nazarene Teachings - Follow the Lamb, and my life story Messianic Confessions.

Do you work on more than one book at a time?

Yes, both in non-fiction and fiction. I find it gives me a refreshing break. At the height of my writing I would work 16 hours 24/7. I am also a very fast typist, though not so any more.

Do you ever show people your WIP?

No.

What would you say to an aspiring writer?

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF! "A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step."
